Naxalbari, 01st April: Frustration over gas supply prompted BJP candidate and MLA Anandamoy Barman to visit the distribution office in Naxalbari on Wednesday. Observing long queues and difficulties faced by the public, Barman expressed his dissatisfaction over the alleged lack of cooperation in service delivery at the office.
He urged the authorities to ensure prompt restoration of services, including home delivery and public announcements through miking. Barman stated that he has spoken with the office owner and demanded immediate provision of home delivery facilities.
He alleged that leaders of the Trinamool Congress are conspiring to harass residents. The BJP candidate warned that if the problem persists, larger protests may follow in the coming days.
