Bagdogra, 19th March: Poll activity has intensified in the Matigara–Naxalbari Assembly constituency as the BJP inaugurated its campaign office in the Gossainpur area of Bagdogra. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista and BJP candidate Anandamay Barman were present on the occasion.
During the inauguration, MP Raju Bista launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress, describing the state government as a “coronavirus”.. He alleged that people of West Bengal have suffered due to misgovernance and oppression over the past 15 years and claimed that voters are now determined to remove this “virus”.
BJP candidate from Matigara-Naxalbari, Anandamay Barman, said that the party is consistently reaching out to people and listening to their concerns. He claimed that the public is seeking change and will support the BJP in the upcoming elections.
