Cooch Behar, 10th February: In recent developments, miscreants allegedly hurled a bomb at the residence of Gram Panchayat (GP) Pradhan of Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the darkness of night in Sahebganj area of Dinhata in Cooch Behar. Consequently, the Pradhan’s vehicle was damaged in the incident. After the incident, the Pradhan accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of the act.
Reportedly, on Friday night, Pradhan Abhijit Barman’s family woke up after hearing a loud noise. Pradhan Abhijit Barman stated that he woke up due to the loud noise, went out with his mother, and witnessed smoke and the smell of gunpowder. Subsequently, he noticed that his vehicle was damaged. He stated that a bomb was hurled into his vehicle while accusing the BJP of creating a chaotic environment in every booth. The Pradhan further claimed the said party’s involvement in the incident. He asserted that the GP is dissatisfied with the role of the police.
Meanwhile, regarding the incident, District BJP Secretary Jibesh Biswas stated that the Pradhan himself plotted the incident while refuting the allegations.
