Siliguri, 20th March: Allegations have been levelled against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for defacing the wall writing of the Trinamool Congress in the Eastern Bypass area. The party also approached the police administration in this regard.
The local leaders alleged that a wall in the Eastern Bypass area under the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency has been occupied by BJP activists.
Bulon Kumar Saha, Trinamool Yuva President of Dabgram-2 region, stated that TMC’s party symbol was painted on the said wall on Friday to promote Goutam Deb who will contest as a TMC candidate for the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly.
He alleged that some BJP workers arrived this morning, painted the wall in white colour, and inscribed their party name on the wall. However, BJP candidate Shikha Chatterjee claimed that none of their party leader or activist is involved with this incident.
