Binoy Tamang secludes himself from TMC, says democracy in Darjeeling is under great threat

Darjeeling, 28th December: Binoy Tamang has officially secluded himself from the All India Trinamool Congress w.ef. today 28th December 2022. He further stated in a press release that he is ready for any disciplinary action if the party imposes on him. 


“Democracy in Darjeeling is under great threat now. Transfrontier Political outfits are remoting some of the leaders of Darjeeling Hills and foothills of Darjeeling District. It’s a matter of great concern for nation’s security, Integrity and sovereignty,” Tamang wrote.

In order to restore democracy, stop corruption, and achieve constitutional justice for the people of Darjeeling Hills, Terai, Dooars, and the Gorkhas Tamang added that he will do his best with all his might and utmost sincerity and honesty. Stating this, he added that from henceforth he will dedicate the rest of his life to working for the communities and the people of the region.


Wishing new year in advance he further said that the next phase of his political activities will soon be a reality. He also stated in his release that he has been anticipating the political, diplomatic and administrative measures from the TMC-led Government of West Bengal on undemocratic activities and wide range of corruption. He further urged and requested CM Mamata Banerjee and Chairperson of AITC to take prompt and necessary steps on the serious issues.
