Kalimpong, 07th January: A gang of unidentified persons allegedly broke the lock and vandalised the party office of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Binay Tamang faction in Kalimpong Bazaar last night.
Highly condemning the incident, the party’s top leaders have demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants. According to party sources, the GJM office was vandalized and documents inside the office were torn down. An FIR has been registered against the unidentified persons at Kalimpong police station.
Binay faction spokesperson Keshav Raj Pokhrel accused the Bimal faction supporters and leaders of vandalizing the party office. Claiming the Binay faction GJM refrain from violence, Pokhrel accused the Bimal faction GJM of trying to create unrest in the Darjeeling hills once again by carrying out such acts.
