Bagdogra, 09th August: A grand bike rally was organized in Bagdogra on the occasion of World Tribal Day on Wednesday. The rally, participated by 500 bikers, commenced from Karopani Maidan in Bagdogra and ended in Dagapur Maidan.
After the rally, the bikers attended a conference at the Dagapur Maidan. In addition, a protest demonstration was also held condemning the Manipur incident. Rajkumar Kindo, a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad, stated that tribals are deprived all over the country and violence against tribal women is on the rise in the state.
