Siliguri, 23rd January: After Durga Puja and Kali Puja, Siliguri will witness a big-budgeted Saraswati Puja this year. The Nazrul Sarani Juba Samiti of Siliguri is hosting the first-ever big-budget Saraswati Puja celebration in Siliguri. The preparations for the event began today with the ‘Khutti Puja.’
This year’s theme for the puja is centered on an imaginary temple and will feature unique decorations. In addition to the idol of Goddess Saraswati, the pandal (pavilion) will also showcase the idol of Krishna Kali.
Shubham Chakraborty, a member of the puja committee, shared that this is the first big-budget Saraswati Puja being organized by the Nazrul Sarani Jubo Samiti in Siliguri. The celebration is expected to display special attractions and include social welfare activities.
As part of the initiative, books, notebooks, pens, and pencils will be distributed to students to encourage them to stay focused on their education. Furthermore, the idol immersion will be conducted alongside a carnival to add to the festivities.
