Siliguri, 06th August: Bablu Talukder, secretary of Bidhan Road Vyavasayee Samiti, left Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and made the announcement during a press conference at Siliguri Journalists Club on Friday.
“I joined BJP before the 2021 Assembly elections to fulfil many dreams. I am a social worker and I have worked for the poor people of society. I wanted to serve more and so, I joined BJP. But, I wasn’t able to work being a member of this party. I want to continue working for the poor in the coming days. So I have decided to sever all ties with BJP,” Talukder said.
