Bhorer Alo Police Station shifted from Gajoldoba to Ambari; locals express satisfaction

Rajganj, 06th December: In a significant administrative move, the Bhorer Alo Police Station has been shifted from Gajoldoba to Ambari. On Friday, the Ambari Outpost was upgraded to Bhorer Alo Police Station, while the Bhorer Alo Police Station in Gajoldoba was changed to Gajoldoba Outpost.

Approximately a year ago, the Milan Pally Outpost in Gajoldoba, Rajganj, was converted into Bhorer Alo Police Station, inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. However, the police station in Gajoldoba has now been reverted to an outpost, while the Ambari Outpost has been upgraded to a police station.

DCP Rakesh Singh explained that the relocation was carried out under the directives of the Siliguri Police Commissioner and the administration. The decision aims to provide better services to the public and enhance administrative efficiency. Due to the higher population density in Ambari, the shift reduces the 16-kilometer travel distance that locals previously had to cover to access the police station.

The move has been welcomed by residents, who expressed happiness about the Ambari Outpost being converted into Bhorer Alo Police Station.
