Siliguri, 30th April: Blood crisis is being reported in various hospitals due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. In view of this, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organized a blood donation camp at the BJP office Jaymoni Bhawan, on Friday.
Around 50 people donated blood during the camp. The collected blood will be sent to Siliguri District Hospital. BJP leader Shankar Ghosh and other party members were present at the camp.
BJYM members stated that all people above the age of 18 will be vaccinated across the country from Saturday. Blood donation cannot be done for 28 days after getting vaccinated. Hence, the camp was organized before the vaccination commences.
