Siliguri, 06th April: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to commence a special tourist train for North India to visit Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on May 18, as announced during a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists’ Club on Saturday.
According to reports, IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is set to begin its journey from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station on May 18. The train is scheduled to board passengers from Malda Town, Rampurhat, Dumka, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, and Kiul, along with Patna, and travel towards Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. Significantly, the package includes a 9-day and 8-night itinerary.
During this, tourists will have the opportunity to visit historical temples of Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura, Vrindavan, and eventually Ayodhya. Significantly, medical facilities and complete safety arrangements are ensured for passengers in case of an emergency during the journey.
In this regard, Vishwaranjan Saha from IRCTC mentioned that the train can accommodate sleeper class passengers and can board up to 800 travellers. Additionally, the train is equipped with tour guides, security personnel, and paramedics.
