Siliguri, 02nd April: The police of Bhakti Nagar police station arrested two youths from Bhanu Nagar last night on the charge of smuggling marijuana. The arrested youths have been identified as Rahul Trikhatri (31) of Kalimpong and Diwakar Darnal (30) a resident of Ward No. 43 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
The police recovered 23 kg and 250 grams of marijuana from the duo’s possession. The market value of which is said to be more than lakhs of rupees. According to police, both were nabbed when they had come to the said area to sell the drug. Bhakti Nagar police registered a case against both the accused under NDPS Act and presented them in Jalpaiguri court today.
