Madarihat, 15th January: A betel nut orchard was damaged after a herd of elephants went on a rampage in the Madarihat Pradhan Nagar area last night.
According to the sources, a herd of 25 elephants entered the aforementioned area last night and destroyed around 7 bighas of land owned by Shyamal Das. Besides, the elephants also destroyed the stored rice and pulses.
