Siliguri, 17th December: Bengal Safari is set to welcome several other animals including lions for visitors in January. The news was revealed by West Bengal Zoo Authority Member Secretary Saurabh Chakraborty and Minister of State for Forest Birbaha Hansda at a press conference on Sunday.
According to reports, the lions will be arriving all the way from Tripura. Following its arrival at the park, the lions will be kept under observation for a few days before being introduced to the visitors on January 24. In addition, other animals including the Himalayan Black Bear and the cubs of the Royal Bengal Tigress will also be introduced to the visitors.
Furthermore, the secretary claimed that Bengal Safari had generated Rs 5 crores within the last 5 months and that the park is anticipated to make around Rs 7 crores in the future.
