Bengal Safari Park to get additional buses before Durga Puja: Forest Minister

Siliguri, 15th September: In view of the convenience of the tourists, Bengal Safari Siliguri is likely to receive additional buses before the upcoming Durga Puja. On Friday, the state Forest Minister Jyoti Priya Mallick, while addressing the media, stated that the number of buses for the safari is likely to be increased before the Puja.


The Forest Minister stated that, at present, there are 9 buses for safari in the park, however, a few buses has mechanical issues. He added that during the Puja, several tourists visit the park for which plans are being initiated to provide 20 additional buses.

Reportedly, out of 20 buses, 10 buses will be hired, for which, the processing of tender has already commenced. In November, the park would also welcome a lion after the puja. In addition, a hospital would be constructed in the park premises to take care of the animals.
