Siliguri, 16th November: A five-day Zoo Festival has been organized at Bengal Safari Park for the first time. The fest started on November 14 and will continue till the 18th of November.
Reportedly, on the very first day of the ‘Zoo Festival’, an animal adoption program was organized during which several people adopted the zoo animals. Today, students of an art school in Bagdogra made artworks of various wild animals on the walls. Along with this, a quiz competition is also being held every day, in which the participants are handed over prizes.
In this regard, DFO Dawa Sangmu Sherpa of Bengal Safari Park said that this five-day event is being celebrated by organizing various interesting programmes on wild animals theme for the students of schools and colleges to educate them about wildlife and develop a closer relationship with them. The festival will also aim to aware the visitors about the importance of wildlife in maintaining the ecological balance of nature.
