Siliguri, 25th January: This winter, the Bengal Himalayan Carnival will be held in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Dooars. On Monday, State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb held a meeting in this regard.
The carnival will be held from February 05 to 07 under the initiative of the Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network and in collaboration with the Tourism Department. Several innovative ideas have been taken for the event.
A Bird Marathon has been organized at Gajoldoba on February 07, where the participants will get an opportunity to click pictures of birds while sitting on the boat. The winners will be awarded. Besides, a heritage walk will be organized in the hills.
