Bengal Governor faces black flags in Siliguri, TMC raises slogans of “Go Back”

Siliguri, 05th October: Tension gripped Siliguri after Trinamool Congress (TMC) Town Committee No.1 raised black flags against Governor CV Ananda Bose in front of the State Guest House.

According to reports, the Governor arrived at Siliguri Guest House following a visit to the flood-inflicted areas when he was encircled by a group of TMC activists. The demonstrators presented the governor with black flags demanding 100 additional days of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana payments.

In addition, a sit-in protest was staged while slogans of “Go Back Rajyapal” were also yelled outside the State Guest House. However, the mob was halted by a team of police officials which led to a brief scuffle between the police and the TMC workers.
