Rajganj, 31st January: A woman from Belakoba has gone missing after taking a holy dip at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, leaving her family deeply worried. The missing woman has been identified as Reshmit Meher (55), a resident of Shikarpur Tea Estate in Rajganj block.
As per reports, on Monday, January 27, she, along with several others, including her husband, departed for Prayagraj from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station by train to attend in Maha Kumbh. They reached their destination on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, she went to take a holy dip in the river. That day, a stampede occurred at the Maha Kumbh, and since then, she has been untraceable. Her husband has lodged a missing person’s complaint in Prayagraj. The worried family has sought assistance from the administration as their search continues.
