Belakoba Outpost police rescue two girls who went missing from Rajganj

Rajganj, 03rd September: The Belakoba Outpost police rescued two missing girls of Rajganj after 24 days of their disappearance. They were rescued from South 24 Parganas on Thursday.


It has been learned that an 18-year-old student of Bhangipara of Panikauri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj and a 16-year-old student of Golandipara of Bahadur Gram Panchayat went missing on August 10. The family lodged a written complaint at the police station. On Wednesday, the police left for Kolkata with their family members.

According to police sources, the mobile phone of one of the missing students was tracked, following which, their location was tracked to South 24 Parganas. After reaching there, they were rescued in front of a shopping mall in Gariahat. They said that they left their houses to look for jobs. However, it is being investigated whether anyone is involved in this incident. The minor student has been sent to the CWC of Jalpaiguri district and the other student to the court.
