Rajganj, 23rd February: Two persons were injured in a road accident on the Belakoba-Ambari road on Sunday night. The incident took place at Sarkarpara area under Shikarpur Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block when a speeding motorcycle hit a pedestrian.
According to local sources, the motorcycle was heading towards Belakoba from Ambari. At the same time, a resident of Sarkarpara was returning home on foot along the road. The bike allegedly rammed into him from behind, causing him to be thrown off balance. The rider of the motorcycle also sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Upon receiving information, police from Belakoba Outpost reached the spot. Both injured persons were rescued and admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Local residents alleged that frequent rash driving along the stretch has been increasing the risk of accidents in the area.
