Siliguri, 12th February: Sensation prevailed after the beheaded body of a man was found in the Power House enclosed area under the Phansidewa police station. The deceased has been identified as Umesh Shah, a resident of Jhankar More Gola Patti area of Siliguri.
As per the report, Umesh Shah used to run a sack warehouse in Phansidewa. He went to the said warehouse yesterday evening. Later, his mobile phone was switched off. This morning, the locals spotted his headless body and his skull inside his helmet.
The police were immediately informed, who reached the spot and recovered the body. According to sources, police suspect the man was attacked with a sharp weapon.
The Phansidewa police have initiated an investigation into the entire incident. Sniffer dogs were also used to search the entire area today morning.
