Naxalbari, 7th April: As the nation is under 21-day lockdown, various NGOs, social workers, businessmen, police personnel and journalists have stepped up to help the needy.
Likewise, The teachers of the Baramairamjote Primary School in Naxalbari block provided ration to the needy, today.
The Teacher-In-Charge of the Baramaniramjote Primary School, Himanshu Roy, stated that all the teachers decided to distribute ration among the people in view of the lockdown. A total of 45 needy people were provided with 3kg rice, dal, mustard oil, soyabean, salt and potatoes. Local residents Budhu Barman, Bapan Ghosh, Rupan Singh and Litan Chakraborty also contributed on the occasion.
