Bangladeshi youth arrested in Kharibari for illegal entry into India before heading to Nepal

Kharibari, 03rd April: A Bangladeshi youth has been arrested for illegally entering India before proceeding to Nepal. An Indian man has also been taken into custody for assisting him. The arrested Bangladeshi national has been identified as Mohammad Naeem, a resident of Barisal, while the second accused, Ramen Singha, hails from Kharibari.


As per reports, SSB jawans were patrolling near the Mechi River at Panitanki, along the Indo-Nepal border, when they spotted two individuals on a bike behaving suspiciously. The duo was taken into custody for questioning, during which the Bangladeshi youth failed to produce a passport or visa.

Both accused were presented before the Siliguri court on Thursday.
