Siliguri, 24th May: On Friday, the members of the Bangiya Sannyasi Samaj carried out a ‘Swabhiman Yatra’ all across the state, including Siliguri.
On this day, the procession commenced from Baghajatin Park in Siliguri, traversed across the main roads, and eventually concluded at Mallaguri. Reportedly, saints from all over North Bengal joined in the procession.
The saints protested with festoons and placards against the alleged abuse of saints and their religious sentiments.
