Siliguri, 08th April: The Baisakh Orchid Festival will be held at Siliguri’s City Center on April 14 and 15, 2021. A press conference was held at Siliguri Journalists Club today in this regard. Ramesh Pandey and Ritesh Kohli from Ambuja Neotia, Kolkata, Anindita Chatterjee from Anandadhara and Raj Basu from Association for Conservation and Tourism (ACT) were present at the conference.
While Raj Basu spoke on the Baisakh Orchid Festival, Ramesh Pandey said that he was proud to work with ACT introducing several Rural communities and activities, especially Rural Tourism. Anindita Chatterjee spoke about the cultural event flow.
ACT is organizing such a festival to have better access to the national and international market, both for cultivators and tourism stakeholders. There will be Orchid and other flower growers exhibiting their colours, handicrafts, and handlooms from East and Northeast India along with interesting food and several cultural performances.
