Bagdogra, 15th January: Bagdogra Police recovered 30 mobile phones that were either stolen or reported lost at different times from various parts of the Bagdogra police station area and handed them over to their rightful owners.
According to police sources, several cases of mobile phone theft and loss had been registered over the past year from different locations under the Bagdogra police station. Acting on these complaints, the police tracked the locations of the mobile phones and successfully recovered them during the course of the investigation.
On Thursday, Officer-in-Charge of Bagdogra Police Station, Pappu Singh, formally handed over the recovered mobile phones to 30 owners in a single programme. The recipients expressed happiness on receiving their phones, with many stating that they had lost hope of ever getting their devices back.
