Fulbari, 27th April: A shocking incident of bag snatching took place in broad daylight in Fulbari, sending shockwaves through the area. Two miscreants on a bike snatched a woman’s bag and quickly fled from the scene. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon near Battalion More in Fulbari.
The victim, Anima Das, a resident of Purba Dhantala in Fulbari, was accompanied by her sister, Anita Mahanto, as they were heading towards Siliguri. As they reached near Battalion More, two youths riding a bike at high speed approached them from behind, snatched their bag, and fled from the spot.
The bag contained some cash and important documents. The shocking crime created an atmosphere of panic in the area. Local residents immediately alerted the authorities, and the New Jalpaiguri Police Station swiftly responded to the scene, initiating an investigation into the matter.
