Awareness program held at Bagdogra to prevent wildlife-human conflicts on AH

Bagdogra, 08th October: On Sunday, the Forest Department launched an awareness program in Bagdogra along with Bagdogra traffic on the Asian Highway 2 to prevent wildlife-human conflicts on the Asian Highway (AH).


During the event, a message was spread for the motorist to drive below the speed limit of 40 km per hour. The program witnessed the presence of Bagdogra Ranger Sonam Bhutia, Jumbo Troops member Rikjyoti Roy, and other delegates.

Speaking at the event, Sonam Bhutia stated that the awareness camp has been organised on the occasion of wildlife week. The program was undertaken in order to prevent conflict between elephants and humans on the highways.
