Jalpaiguri, 01st September: While fleeing at high speed during Naka Checking, a pickup van laden with illegal liquor overturned in front of the Maynaguri BDO office on NH 31. A large quantity of illegal liquor from Bhutan was recovered.
It has been learned that on Wednesday, Naka checking was being carried out on NH 31 adjacent to the Maynaguri BDO office. At that time, a speeding pickup van lost control and overturned.
The Maynaguri police reached the spot and took the seized articles and van to the police station. As of now, no arrest has been made in connection to the incident. Police have started an investigation into the matter.
