Attempted child trafficking hindered in Siliguri, three girls rescued, two women detained

Siliguri, 16th May: In a shocking incident that unfolded in Siliguri, an attempted child trafficking case was hindered, leading to the rescue of three girls. Additionally, two women have been apprehended in connection with the incident.


According to reports, today in the vicinity of Siliguri’s Bidhan Market, two women called a Toto and requested to be taken to a local hotel. However, their actions raised suspicion when the three girls accompanying them began crying. Alerted by this unusual situation, the local residents and the Toto driver became suspicious of the women’s intentions. As a result, the Toto driver handed over the two women, along with the three girls, to the Airview More traffic police.

Subsequently, the Siliguri police arrived at the scene and escorted the three girls and the two women to the police station. The interrogation of the two women has commenced, shedding some light on the initial findings. It has been revealed that one of the women is a resident of Leh in Jammu and Kashmir, while all three girls are residents of Chopra. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter to gather further information and determine the underlying circumstances of the incident.
