Jalpaiguri, 15th March: An attempt was made to loot an ATM situated on DBC Road in Jalpaiguri. The incident has caused widespread unrest in the area.
Reportedly, a gang of miscreants broke into the ATM late Monday night. They fled away from the spot after they failed to loot the money.
The matter first came to the notice of the locals on Tuesday morning. After receiving the news, the Kotwali police reached the spot. Meanwhile, local traders have demanded police patrolling in the area.
