Siliguri, 06th June: Ashok Bhattacharya, Chairman of newly formed Board of Administrators at Siliguri Municipal Corporation, took to the streets to create awareness on COVID-19.
Bhattacharya was spotted distributing mouth masks and leaflets among the people at Siliguri Hashmi Chowk area, on Saturday. He emphasized that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is rapidly increasing not only in the city but in the entire country. The BoA Chairman stated that India is now the sixth worst-affected nation in terms of coronavirus infection.
Nonetheless, Bhattacharya said that there is nothing to be afraid of rather one should obey doctors’ advice.
