Siliguri, 13th September: Left leader Ashok Bhattacharya took a jibe at the current municipality board and accused them of deceiving the citizens in the name of development.
During a press conference, Bhattacharya and CPIM’s district secretary Jibesh Sarkar informed that the Darjeeling District Left Front will organize a sub-divisional council campaign on September 15 and a citizens’ gathering on September 23.
On the other hand, Goutam Deb, the current administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, refused to make any remarks on Bhattacharya’s statement and wished him good health.
