Siliguri, 09th April: Ashok Bhattacharya, the Left candidate of the Siliguri assembly Sanjukta Morcha (CPIM-Congress-ISF), carried out electioneering in Ward No. 16 on Friday morning. He was accompanied by Ward co-ordinator Sujoy Ghatak.
During his campaign, Bhattacharya met Trinamool leader Shanta Chettri and the duo exchanged a few words for a while.
Later addressing the media, Shanta Chettri said that she met Ashok Bhattacharya today. “He is a good man and has worked for the city’s development.” However, claiming to have worked even more, Chettri asserted that the TMC will win the election by a huge margin. “Mamata Banerjee will once again become the Chief Minister,” she asserted.
On the other hand, Ashok Bhattacharya said that they are receiving huge responses from the people. “People do not want TMC and BJP anymore,” he stated.
