Siliguri, 05th September: The beautification of the banks of Mahananda and Mahishmari rivers, dam construction and others projects initiated by the Siliguri Municipal Corporation have reached their final stage. On the other hand, a bridge will also be constructed in the SMC’s Ward No. 47.
On Saturday, SMC BoA Chairman and Siliguri MLA Ashok Bhattacharya took stock of the works and addressed the media.
Bhattacharya stated that various development oriented works are being executed by SMC at a cost of 3 crore rupees. He maintained that despite lockdown, the works are almost in the final stages due to the efforts of the engineers.
He added that the work of beautification will be completed before the Puja season. With this, he said that a state-of-the-art garden light is being arranged at Rammohan Moulik Ghat for tourist attraction.
