Siliguri, 06th February: Former mayor and CPIM candidate Ashok Bhattacharya campaigned in support of Ward No. 16 Congress candidate Sujoy Ghatak, on Sunday. Left leader Jibesh Sarkar also accompanied him.
It is to be noted that CPIM has negotiated seats in a total of four wards, including Ward No. 16, which is known as the stronghold of Congress.
However, Ashok Bhattacharya said that he wants to work with Congress in the coming days to form a municipality board. He also mocked BJP’s development slogan during the campaign.
Congress candidate Sujoy Ghatak said that a new message about the CPIM-Congress alliance will reach the general public before the elections.
