Siliguri, 08th March: Left leader Ashok Bhattacharya and Congress leader Shankar Malakar took to the streets for election campaign.
Ashok Bhattacharya, a possible Left candidate for the Siliguri Assembly, did not fail to campaign on the first day of the week. He went out campaigning with Shankar Malakar in various parts of Ward No. 01 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Ashok Bhattacharya said that they visited different areas of ward and interacted with the residents. He claimed that people have no expectations from BJP and are frustrated with TMC government. Hence, the Left-Congress alliance is the only alternative required at the moment.
