Siliguri, 21st July: Ashighar Out Post Police arrested another land mafia by conducting a campaign in Deshbandhu Para. The accused have been identified as Kumares Sarkar (42) resident of Chayan Para near Ashighar.
According to police sources, numerous complaints were lodged against Sarkar in Ashighar police for trading land with forged documents. Based on the tip, the police nabbed Sarkar from the said area on Wednesday night. He was produced in Jalpaiguri court on Thursday.
