Siliguri, 06th March: During a press conference on Friday, Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya stated that an animal electric crematorium will be set up soon on behalf of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
The Mayor stated that the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) representatives came up with this proposal. The representatives stated that the way in which the dead remains of the animals are being dumped into the dumping ground, the hygiene of the area gets affected. Therefore, such an initiative has been taken.
