Cooch Behar, 18th July: Anant Rai ‘Maharaj’ returned to Cooch Behar, on Tuesday, after being elected unopposed as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominated Rajya Sabha (RS) MP.
Today, Ananta Maharaj deboarded from Padatik Express at the New Cooch Behar Railway Station. During this, members of the Greater Cooch Behar People’s Association and representatives of the BJP party grandly welcomed him at the station.
Notably, Ananta Rai won unopposed after West Bengal BJP Vice President Rathindra Bose withdrew his candidature from the forthcoming RS elections.
