Siliguri, 23rd January: The bugle for the Siliguri Municipal Corporation election has been blown and the first reservation table for the various wards has been published by the Election Commission, after which the electoral movement in Siliguri has intensified. Various political parties have been trying to field their strong candidate in every ward. Meanwhile, accusations against each other are also being raised.
Amidst this electoral movement, two prominent leaders of Siliguri were seen sharing the stage, today. The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb and the Mayor of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation Ashok Bhattacharya were seen sharing the same platform at the statue unveiling program in Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No 3. Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya and Goutam Deb are rarely seen sharing the same platform as the two leaders often target each other.
