Rajganj, 21st June: The Ambari-Sahudangi state road was blocked once again on Friday, this time by parents of students, protesting its dilapidated condition. The road, stretching several kilometers from Sahudangi in Rajganj block to Ambari, has been in poor condition for a long time, causing significant inconvenience.
Earlier, on Thursday, local residents had already demonstrated at the Ambari area intersection, demanding urgent road repairs. Reportedly, on Friday, the parents gathered in front of a private English medium school near Sahudangi, joining the protest to highlight the difficulties faced in transporting their children to school.
Later, police from the Ambari outpost arrived promptly, and the blockade was lifted after about half an hour following assurances from the police.
The protesters emphasized the persistent problems caused by the road’s poor state, urging immediate repairs and demanding a halt to heavy traffic on the road until the repairs are completed.
