Jalpaiguri, 01st March: The polling staff staged a protest complaining about the mismanagement surrounding the COVID-19 vaccination process at Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital.
Reportedly, several polling workers arrived at Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital this morning to receive the vaccine. However, the server was non-functional for a long time. Till the time the server got fixed, a large crowd of polling workers had gathered waiting at the hospital premises. The agitated polling staff expressed outrage and stated that a few more centres should have been set up.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, OSD Dr Sushant Roy rushed to the vaccination centre. He interacted with the on-duty doctors, health workers as well as polling staff and tried to solve the issues.
Dr Sushant Roy said that the server problem has been resolved now. Instructions have been issued to arrange enough drinking water and polythene shed from tomorrow.
