Kaliaganj, 04th March: During a public meeting in Kaliaganj, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, on Tuesday, stated that all the people who came from Bangladesh and have been casting votes in the elections were Indian citizens. She further stated that such people did not require to apply for citizenship anew.
Banerjee also slammed the Modi government for its handling of the Delhi communal riots, which has taken 42 lives so far, and stated that she will not allow Bengal to turn into another Delhi.
She also stated that she will not allow even a single person to be thrown out of Bengal and further stated that no refugee living in West Bengal will be deprived of citizenship.
