Siliguri, 16th October: All central trade unions and federations, including the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) and Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), have called for an All-India strike on November 26.
Such an initiative has been taken to protest against the centre’s anti-labour and anti-farmer policies. A meeting was organized in this regard in Siliguri, on Friday. The meeting was attended by CITU State General Secretary Anadi Sahu, INTUC leader Alok Chakraborty and other leaders of the organization.
In this context, Anadi Sahu said that the farmers and labourers are facing immense difficulties due to the policies. Hence, a strike has been called demanding the central government to amend the law soon.
