Siliguri, 15th May: The NJP branch of the All Bengal Railway Hawkers Union held protest demonstrations today at Siliguri alleging harassment of hawkers by RPF personnel at NJP.
According to reports, the union alleged that several RPF personnel in NJP have been oppressing and harassing hawkers mentally and physically, for several days, following which the All Bengal Railway Hawkers Union resorted to agitation. Additionally, in this regard, a written complaint has been filed to the IC, RPF, under the leadership of Sujay Sarkar, President, NJP branch of INTTUC, demanding immediate action in this matter.
