Siliguri, 01st March: Two Alipurduar youths, Biman Sarkar and Ankit Ghosh, took a unique initiative to promote sports among the new generation. In this regard, they staged a bicycle rally with a plan to tour 4 different districts.
Biman stated that such an initiative has been taken to create awareness among the children regarding the importance of sports and physical activity. Besides, Ankit stated that they also want to tour other states in the future.
Reportedly, the journey commenced from Alipurduar on Saturday and reached Siliguri on Sunday. Both the individuals were felicitated on behalf of a Siliguri’s voluntary organization. It has been learned that they will return to Alipurduar on Monday night on the completion of their programme.
