Siliguri, 05th July: The All India Democratic Women’s Association(AIDWA), on Monday, submitted a memorandum to the Siliguri SDO in support of multiple demands including protest against the hike in petrol, diesel, and cooking gas prices and punishment for those involved in the fake vaccine scam.
The organization members said that there is a financial crisis in the whole country due to the ongoing pandemic. Many people are unemployed. In this situation, the prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas and other necessities are continuously increasing. Hence, the AIDWA members raised their voices.
Snigdha Hazra, the chairperson of the Darjeeling district committee of the All India Democratic Women’s Association, warned of staging larger demonstrations if their demands are not met soon.
